"Les Ecuries van de Tram" is located in the historic heart of Schaarbeek and is in one of the oldest tram depots in Brussels. The stables were built for the horses that pulled the trams, but have since been restored and converted into a refined cultural, ecological and social meeting place.
On Fridays and Saturdays, there is a market with wide range of organic agricultural produce on offer. The producer-consumer chain is very short and the market vendors really know their products: fruit, vegetables, bread, meat, sustainably-produced coffee and other specialties. High time to explore the market and its surroundings.
